History
Martyn Penny opened his first Barber Shop in December 2002. Although called a Barber Shop, in actual fact it catered for all the family. The Calne shop proved an overnight success, helped by its lovely location and convenient parking. Trowbridge was opened in December 2003 and Warminster in November 2006, completing the "Trio".
Martyn trained locally as a hairstylist and barber and has over 20 years of experience behind him. His skills have been further developed by attending courses run by L'Oreal, Toni & Guy and the Whal Academy.
The aim of his shops is to provide an excellent service by experienced stylists and barbers at a fraction of the cost that you would be expected to pay in a high street salon. A good haircut need not cost a fortune. At Barber Shop Trio the standard has to be high, as Martyn would not accept anything less than the best. He was rewarded for his dedication to providing an excellent service when he was asked to become a member of the Good Barbers Guide in 2007.
By operating a "no appointment required" system people can come along when it suits them. The opening hours of each shop are designed to accommodate as many people as possible. Each shop is large and spacious in order to create a relaxed and friendly environment. Children are welcome and colouring equipment and books are available to keep them amused. Coffee facilities are available in all 3 shops to help make any waiting as pleasant as possible.
